Engineer Ahmed Rizk Ahmed Rizk is the present managing director of the Ibn Khaldun Center, and a member of its Board of Trustees. He is a civil engineer, owns a civil contracting company and is an active figure in Egyptian politics. He was a former member of the board of the (liberal) Wafd Party's regional branch in the Ismailieh Governorate as well as a member of the board of the regional branch of the Engineers Syndicate there. In 2008, he was one of the founders of Al Gabha Party and has for long been an active participant in numerous conferences, seminars and workshops concerned with pushing for political reforms and the promotion of democracy in Egypt. Moheb Zaki is an electrical engineer and former businessman. He was a former managing director of the Ibn Khaldun Center and is currently the Center’s Senior Advisor. He taught political sociology, comparative political systems and politics of the Middle East at the American University in Cairo (1990--2006). He is the author of two books (in English): Civil Society and Democratization in Egypt, and The Egyptian Business Elites: Their Visions and Investment Behaviour. He is also the author of several studies on "The Status of Democracy in Egypt"; "The Copts of Egypt"; and "Political Parties in the Arab World" which will form a chapter in a soon to be published book (funded by MEPI) and edited by the Global Political Trends Center of Kultur University (Istabul). Mr. Zaki is the author of the Annual Report published by the Ibn Khaldun Center on Civil Society and Democratization in the Arab World, and the consultant of the Center's monthly English Newsletter. Researcher at the Center. Study master at Faculty of Economics and Political Science. Participates in all activities of the Center, including The Annual Report of Civil Society and Democratization in The Arab world, as well as The ICDSs' newsletter "Civil Society". Joined ICDS in May 2008. Has been chosen for the fellowship under the program "a new generation of advocates for human rights", organized by Freedom House (Washington, April 2009). He focuses on the cultural aspects of phenomena he studies.

She started working at ICDS since it reopened in June 2003. She was previously worked at Ibn Khaldun Branch in Maadi for preparation of the new notes and leaves the issue of the Ibn Khaldoun Center in the years trials of Dr. Saad Eddin Ibrahim, and even an acquittal.
